    Head Teacher

    Mr Watson – Head Teacher

    Mr Watson is the Head Teacher of the school. He has full responsibility for everything that happens at all stages of the school. He is passionate about making sure the young people in Forehill get the best learning experiences possible. He is always trying to find ways to make our school better.

    His remit includes: Departmental responsibility for P6, Curriculum Development - Numeracy & Mathematics, Music, Drama, Art & Design, Languages, School Improvement Planning, Assessment, Attainment & Achievement, Monitoring & Self-evaluation, Budget & Finance, Resource Management,  Policy Development, Pastoral Care of staff, Staff recruitment and training, Child Protection, Making Thinking Visible, Cluster Links, Parent Council and Communication with Parents, Health & Safety, Primary Secondary Liaison.

    Mrs Hartley – Depute Head Teacher

    Mrs Hartley is our Depute Head Teacher. She likes all children to achieve the very best they can and works very hard to make this happen.

    Her remit includes: Departmental responsibility for P2-4, Pupil Support, Literacy & English, Social Subjects, Science, Religious & Moral Education, Professional Development of Staff, Monitoring, Self-evaluation & School Improvement, Staff Cover, Pupil Behaviour, Induction, Timetabling, Lunch Buddies, Dyslexia Friendly School, Infant Induction.

  • Mrs Baines

    Mrs Baines – Principal Teacher

    Mrs Baines is always smiling. She is only supposed to work two days, but always comes in on her days off to help make our school extra special.  She is one of our many principal teachers. Mrs Baines organises lots of clubs including chess, sports ambassador and many more. She also organises Award of Ambition for our P7 pupils. Mrs Baines is one of the best. She is always in the school bright and early.

    Her remit includes: Departmental Responsibility for P7, Health & Wellbeing, PE, Self-evaluation & School Improvement, Wider Achievement, Citizenship, International Education, Swimming, Award of Ambition, Rights Respecting School, Active Schools, Equality, Diversity & Citizenship, Community Links.

  • Mr McDowall

    Principal Teacher

    Mr McDowall – Principal Teacher
    Mr McDowall is one of our amazing Principal Teachers. He teaches music to all classes and is really enthusiastic and is always smiling. He runs many activities to promote wider achievements including choir, orchestra, guitar and football. He also plays a significant part in producing our school shows.

    His remit includes: Departmental Responsibility for P5, Music, Drama, Developing the Young Workforce, Self-evaluation & School Improvement, Glow, Internet Safety

    Mrs Carswell teaches in the Early Years Centre, but is also one of our principal teachers.

    Mrs Neil - Early Years Class

    Mrs Neil teaches every Monday and Tuesday in our Early Years Class at Forehill.  Every time you see her, she always has a smile on her face. She is a great teacher and gets along with everyone!

  • Mrs McConnachie

    P1M Teacher

    Mrs McConnachie - Primary 1M


    Mrs McConnachie is one of our Primary 1 teachers. She is very nice to the class and always helps you with work. Mrs McConnachie also leads the school’s Fairtrade group at lunchtime. She always smiles and makes work a little bit more fun. Mrs McConnnachie is a great teacher and does extra things round the school.

    Miss Hail is now one of our P1 class teachers. She likes it when children do well and achieve their best.

    Miss Campbell is one of our Primary 2 teachers. She likes it when the children work really hard and achieve great things!

    Mrs Paterson - Primary 3

    Mrs Paterson is teaching one of our  P3 classes. She works closely with lots of other teacher to plan really exciting and challenging learning for all children in her class.

  • Mrs Taylor

    Mrs Taylor works on Thursdays and Fridays. She teaches our P2/3 children. She is always so happy and cheerful and always has a huge smile on her face. She always helps you when you need it and can be really funny. She works very hard and even stays on after school to mark your work and arrange trips.

    Miss Law is a lovely kind teacher who teaches P2/3 every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. She isIf you walk past her she always has a bright smile on her face. Miss Law really enjoys teaching and always puts a smile on the children’s faces.

    Mrs Murdoch now is one our our Primary 3 teachers. She is very musical. She likes all her children to give 100% effort.

  • Mrs Hornell

    Mrs Hornell is one of our great P4 teachers. She helps lots of pupils with spelling, maths and writing. Mrs Hornell is very talented in art, and is a happy, kind teacher. Sometimes she can make a joke and make everyone laugh! Mrs Hornell does a fantastic job of making the costumes for our school shows.

  • Miss Wilson

    Miss Wilson teaches Primary 4 in our school. She is very bubbly and enthusiastic and likes the children to give their best all the time.

  • Mrs McDowall

    Mrs McDowall – P5M

    Mrs McDowall is one of the great teachers who teaches Primary 5. She works so hard and wants all the children in her class to do their best all the time. She is very fit and runs marathons as well as leading the running club in our school. She is always smiling and says hello every time she sees you.

    Miss Johnston  joined us this session to teach one of our P5 classes. She likes it when all children in her class do well and give their best effort.

    Miss Kerr is Primary 6K's teacher at Forehill. She is cheery and keen to make sure all the children in her class do their very best.

    Miss Reilly is one of our great P6 teachers. She works a lot with the other teachers to plan great learning activities for all our P6 children.

    Mr McCallum is one of our teaching staff and joined us this session to teach one of our Primary 7 classes.

    Miss Mair teacher in one of our Primary 7 classes. She works hard with Mrs McNair to make sure all her children get the best possible learning experiences.

  • Mr McDowall

    Mr McDowall – Music Teacher

    Mr McDowall is Forehill’s Music Teacher. He is really nice, always enthusiastic and always speaks when he sees you in the corridor. He plays guitar and piano really well! Mr McDowall is also responsible for the school football team, who are doing really well just now! He is also one of our principal teachers in the school.

  • Mrs Sutherland

    Mrs Sutherland – PE

    Mrs Sutherland is our PE teacher and is the greatest gym teacher. When you pass her in the hall she always smiles. She helps all the children in Forehill to enjoy and get better at sports. She runs clubs after school for all ages!

  • Mrs McGhee

    Mrs McGhee – Drama

    Mrs McGhee teaches drama two days in Forehill. She is really good fun and is always cheery and bubbly, making learning fun.

  • Mrs McNair

    Mrs McNair is one of our support teachers. She is always very happy, cheery! She makes sure all the children get amazing learning experiences in her class.

  • Mrs Howlett

    Mrs Howlett is one of our pupil support teachers.   She is a very smiley and happy person and is always on the go!  She is always smiling in the corridors and is a very lovely person! She looks after our tropical fish and enjoys learning outdoors. She works in "The Hive" - our nurture room with children from lots of different classes.

    Mrs Rodger is a support teacher in the school, and helps children in different classes with the learning they find difficult. Mrs Rodger works with our Dyslexia Friendly school group.

    Mrs Murray is one of our pupil support teachers and works in the learning centre and in different classes.     Mrs Kirkland works in a range of different classes across the school. She supports children with writing, maths and reading.

  • Mrs Zorget

    Mrs Zorget – Class Teacher

    Mrs Zorget is currently on maternity leave. She normally teaches in the infant department and is really friendly. She loves teaching in all sorts of fun ways. She is always smiling. She helps at the running club, takes Zumba class and does an amazing job with dance moves for our school shows She will never stop until things are perfect especially with handwriting!

    Mr Daily is our School Development Worker, who works alongside the other staff to support children, parents and families to achieve the best they can. A lot of his work involves supporting children and families with learning and engaging in opportunities to improve health and wellbeing.

    Mrs Gray is a school assistant in our school. She is kind to everyone including all the teachers. Most of her time is spent in classes supporting children with their learning, but she also helps in the playground and to organise resources and displays around the school.   If there’s ever a problem she is a great listener - tell her and she will happily help out.

    Mrs Kerr is one of our great school assistants. Mrs Kerr is always happy and makes your frown turn upside down.  When Mrs Kerr is walking through the school she will always give you a wave or say hello. Mrs Kerr will always be there for you. She is a great first aider. Most of her time is spent in classes supporting children with their learning, but she also helps in the playground and to organise resources and displays around the school.

    Mrs Galloway is one of our great school assistants. She works with the P6 class. When you see her walking around the school she puts a smile on your face. She helps support pupils around the school and in the playground. She is really friendly and helpful.     Mrs Ward is our school educational Psychologist. She visits the school on a regular basis and works closely with the staff, children and parents to help some of our pupils to achieve their potential. She is always smiling!

    Mr Mooney is our janitor. He works very hard at his job and makes sure our school is clean and everything is just right! He is very handy and helps to fix things which don’t work. He helps look after the children in the infant playground and helps to keep our playground tidy too!  Thanks to Mr Mooney we have an Eco Friendly Flag. He helps us if there is a problem in the school.   He is just an awesome janitor.

    Mrs Reid is our active schools co-ordinator, She works closely with Mrs Baines to arrange and provide lots of sporting activities for us to try and to enjoy. She is great!

    Mr Hutchison is one of our school educational Psychologists. He works closely with the staff, children and parents to help children to make sure they are supported and can reach their potential.

    Miss Maitland is a very smiley, enthusiastic person who works in the nursery class. She is always helpful and is really good at art! When you meet her in the corridor, she always talks to you.
